Stone Creek Design Build is a residential construction company specializing in custom homes, finished basements, additions, decks, and remodels. We are located in Red Hill, PA but serve in Montgomery, Bucks, Lehigh, and Berks County. We are looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter to handle and install all aspects of carpentry work while also directing other employees, subs and ordering materials to ensure the job is completed on time and within budget. Person will also help when needed for everything from foundation up during construction. Candidates will need to have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter and have excellent organization and communication skills. Job Overview
As a full-time Lead Carpenter at Stone Creek Design Build, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks related to residential remodeling and new construction projects. Responsibilities include demolition, framing, trim carpentry, painting, and the installation of doors and cabinetry.
This role also involves leading your own crew, working closely with our project managers, and maintaining direct communication with homeowners throughout the project. Additional experience in plumbing, electrical, or tile work is a plus.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality craftsmanship and ensuring projects are completed successfully, efficiently, and on schedule.
Required Tools
Lead Carpenter must arrive to the jobsite with, at minimum, the following personal hand tools:
- Hammer (framing and/or finish)
- Tape measure (25’ preferred)
- Speed square
- Framing square
- Nail apron / tool belt
- Utility knife
- Chalk line
- Levels: 2’, 4’, and 6’
- Flat bar / pry bar
- Nail set / punch set
- Chisels
- Screwdrivers (Phillips and flathead)
- Adjustable wrench
- Pliers (needle nose and standard)
- Circular saw
- Drill
- Impact driver
- Router
- Reciprocating saw
- Sanders (orbital and/or detail)
- Nail guns
Qualifications
- 5+ years minimum proven finish carpentry experience/ lead carpentry experience.
- Knowledge of general residential / commercial construction.
- Must have a hard work ethic, be able to work independently when required.
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Be able to schedule and complete work in timely manner.
- Prior experience in a similar role.
- Must have a driver's license and reliable means of transportation to company office/ shop.
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Must pass background check & drug screening .
- Willing and able to use computer-based construction software using a company-provided tablet.
- Ability to collaborate with the team using our local shop and design showroom as resources for materials and project coordination.
